Manage Sessions
Once a session is running on an assembly, you can:
- Extend it to get more usable time, or shorten it.
- Release the assembly before your reservation is complete.
- Transfer the session to another user.
- Request a session from its current owner.
Access Session Management
You can access and manage your sessions in
Assembly Page
- Click on an assembly that you reserved in the Overview
My Assemblies
- Open the My Assemblies tab in the Navigation Bar. It shows all assemblies that you booked in the moment
Extend Session
While you have an active session for an assembly, you can extend the current session.
Prerequisites
- Your own active session on the assembly
Steps
1. Select the assembly
- Open the Assembly page or My Assemblies dropdown.
2. Set the new end time
- Open the Session Update dialog with the clock button (Increase your usage time).
Extension depends on the next reservation
You can only extend the session if the new end time does not conflict with other future reservations.
Release Session
When you have finished your work, you can release the assembly before your reservation is complete to make it available again for other users.
Prerequisites
- Your own active session on the assembly
Steps
1. Select the assembly
- Open the Assembly page or My Assemblies dropdown.
2. Release the assembly
- Use the release button (Release your assembly) in the header.
Release cannot be undone
Ensure that your work is saved and committed. Releasing ends the session instead of pausing it — booking again starts from a clean environment.
Transfer Session to Another User
Transfer your own session to another user.
Prerequisites
- A user with access to the assembly
- The same organization for you and the new session user
Steps
1. Select the assembly
- Open the Assembly page or My Assemblies dropdown.
2. Start the transfer
- Use the transfer icon (Transfer your session to another user).
3. Choose the new owner
- Select the user in the New user list and confirm.
Request a Session Transfer from Another User
Request an active session from its current owner.
Prerequisites
- An active session on the requested assembly
- Remaining time above the cleanup time
Steps
1. Select the assembly

Open the Assembly page or My Assemblies dropdown.
- Because someone else holds the session, the header shows Request Session.
2. Request the session
- The dialog shows the current owner in Current user and you in New user. Confirm to send the request.
3. Wait for the owner's decision.

- The owner gets a notification under Session Requests (notifications tab, top right) and accepts or declines.
- You are notified about the decision; Request Session stays disabled while your request is open.
- Request statuses:
pending,in progress,completed,declined. - Unanswered requests are declined automatically when the session ends or is released.
