Block an Assembly for dedicated use - Context Booking
A context is a blocker that marks an assembly for a specific type of usage — such as CI pipelines, maintenance, or dedicated user work. Unlike a regular session (which a user books to work on the assembly interactively), a context is created by the assembly owner to protect a time window from user or CI usage.
Prerequisites
- You are the owner of the assembly (or have an equivalent admin role).
Steps
1. Open the calendar
- Navigate to the assembly and open the calendar (calendar icon next to the Reserve button).
2. Switch to the context tab
- In the booking dialog, select the Context tab.
The Context tab is only visible to users with assembly owner permission
3. Create Context Booking

Set your context time and type. You can also give a description to explain to context for other assembly users. Confirm your context.
Any existing future sessions that overlap with the selected time window will be automatically removed.
Result
The assembly is blocked for specific or no assembly bookings. The reserved time context is visible in the calendar view.
