Force a Transfer as an Administrator

As an organization admin you can take over an active session immediately.

Prerequisites

• Organization administrator role in the assemblies organizaiton

Steps

1. Force the transfer

Check the Force box in the request dialog and confirm. The session will be transferred to you instantly after the confirmation. The previous owner will only get a notification and lose access to the assembly session.

Use with care

Announce a forced takeover to the current session user beforehand.

Troubleshooting

Symptom	Likely cause	Solution
Transfer icon missing while the session is still listed	The usable time is over and the cleanup routine runs	Wait and book again.
No active session found to transfer	The assembly has no running session	Book it yourself instead.
Cannot start a session transfer before the session has started	The session is booked but not running yet	Wait for the session to start, or ask the owner to delete the booking.
Session transfer is only allowed within the same organization	The other user belongs to a different organization	Transfers cannot cross organizations.
There is already an active session transfer	Two transfers were started for the same session	Wait until the running transfer completes.
Cannot transfer session to the same user	The selected user already owns the session	Pick a different user in the New user list.
Request Session is disabled	You already have a pending request	Check Session Requests in the notification area.
Too many requests, try again later.	Several actions hit the same assembly at the same moment	Wait a few seconds and repeat the action.
